February 22, 2008 was an historic day for the Global University ministry in Ecuador as we celebrated the first ever university level graduate in Ecuador. Laura, about who many of you have heard me share, completed her degree in Religious Education.
Reaching such an exciting benchmark for both Laura and Global University merited a time of commemoration and celebration. So, Laura's friends along with those involved in the Global University ministry shared the marvel of this moment.
It was a lovely time, dimmed only by the disappointment that the weather in Springfield, MO made it impossible for Rev. Paul Duda, the previous Ecuador National Director of Global ICI, to fly in for our celebration.
Please pray with me for Laura and others in Ecuador like her who continue to study to show themselves approved unto God, workmen that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim. 2:15

Congratulations! Nice picture. Laura looks so happy. I'm glad she was able to accomplish something so positive during a difficult time in her life.
